What can I do to protect myself and more so what are my healthcare providers doing to protect me?

First and foremost, we here at the Advanced Wellness Dental Center take your health and welfare

very seriously and always have.

The first line of defense is your immune system and finding ways to boost it during a situation as

we are in now. First, as far as how we keep you safe we practice all CDC and OSHA standards of infection control on a daily basis, even prior to this virus.

We treat everything to the highest standards for our patient’s and employee’s safety.

We have a supply of masks, gloves, protective eyewear. We clean everything with hospital-level

disinfectants as part of our standard protocol and we sterilize all of our instruments. Additionally, we are taking more precautions on top of that by using essential oil diffusers throughout the office to reduce air-borne pathogens, disinfecting all high-touch areas such as door handles, pens and front office surfaces hourly. Also, we consistently using negative ion generators to purifier air.

Part of building your immune system is to be sure that your body is infection and toxin-free.

Maintaining your dental health and removing toxic materials and infections, it will assist your

body’s ability to boost immunity. In addition, we’ve gathered information from experts that can

boost your immune system to fight not only the coronavirus, but many other respiratory ailments.

Your Vitamin Intake

Vitamins that are critical for immune function include vitamins A, C, D and E. Zinc, selenium and

magnesium are minerals that your immune system needs to function at its best.

We find that liposomal Vitamin C works great and make sure you’re taking Vitamin D3

cholicalciferol not any Vitamin D.

One of the highest concentrations of vitamin C in Acerola Cherry-1700 mg, Vitamin C is important to keep the immune system functioning and help the body fight infections, and viruses. Cherries high in antioxidants, potassium, and fiber.

*Consult with your practitioner for the doses they would recommend for you.

Herb and Supplement Immune Boosters

Garlic, astragalus, milk thistle, ginseng, green tea, black cumin and licorice are just some of the

herbs that have been reported to boost immunity. *Talk to your healthcare provider before starting

any regimen since some herbs can interact with other supplements or medications and cause side

effects. Additionally, probiotics are another tool to assist in boosting your immunity. Be sure to look

for probiotic supplements with lactobacillus and bifidobacterium. Always consult your practitioner

for a protocol that best suits your specific needs.

Following simple precautions such as frequent hand washing and boosting your immune system can greatly improve your chances of staying infection-free.
